VAGA was established in June 1993 as a direct off-shoot of the Festival of the Islands.  We are a group of artists and art lovers, with an annually elected executive and monthly meetings.  Our co-op gallery was established in 1993 and boasts several thousand visitors each year.  Up to 35 artists display their original works in many mediums.  We present a variety of workshops and art demonstrations which are open to the public.  Each year we donate a bursary to a graduating high school student who is going on to post-secondary education in the visual arts.

Mission Statement:

To further cultural interests in Gananoque and area with two and three dimensional art forms; to promote the study, practice and appreciation of art; to hold exhibitions, demonstrations and workshops, which shall be open to the public.
